Raw Meat Dog or Cat Food is a blend of ground beef hearts, tongue and liver. There is 10% beef fat in the meat. This is standard market raised beef. There is nothing added to the meat, no artificial vitamins or preservatives. The raw meat is delivered frozen in one pound packages. If your pet will not be eating the full amount in one meal keep it refrigerated till used. Use the pound in 3 days or refreeze the balance till the first part is used up.
This is the natural diet for our pets. Diabetes is occurring in our pets more and more often, arthritis and cancer is plaguing us and our pets! We must stop feeding our pets food full of corn and rice, all the grain fillers. Even organic pet foods may be full of fillers to extend the meat. Many organic pet foods take spoiled organic veggies and meats and blend them and put the "organic" stamp on it, we see "organic" and feel it is good for the pets. We must always read the ingredient label on our food and theirs. Most dry commercial pet food has poor nutrition, but they add artificial vitamins and then their nutrition statement looks better. Just because they say it on TV, DON'T believe it!
Working sled dogs are not fed the grain fillers, they are fed meat and fish. They work hard and need to be in top shape. They must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures of weather. Our pets may not be working animals but, we want them to have a long, healthy, happy life.
